Fonderia Digital Green Webinar: Materials and Their Impact on the Casting Process

This webinar is a follow-up to the “Fonderia Digital Green” event, a conference dedicated to the foundry industry that took place in person on 15 May 2025 in Novara.

The goal is to build on the topics presented during that event, exploring the more technical aspects of the transformation currently taking place in Italian foundries. The session will provide a detailed look at the actions and solutions that demonstrate how additive manufacturing works and the benefits it offers.

During the webinar on 25 September 2025, the main topics will include:

  1. How ExOne binder jetting technology is the key to making foundry processes modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible.
The flexibility of the S-Max sand 3D printers enables full digitalisation of the additive process and supports a wide range of materials, including reclaimed sand, which brings significant benefits in terms of environmental impact.
  2. How it is possible to drastically reduce material costs, in this case natural silica sand, through its regeneration.
The key results are a reduction of environmental impact and natural resource consumption, along with a massive decrease in production costs. Recycling is fundamental: quartz sand is a natural resource with limited availability, high cost, and a significant environmental footprint. Looking to the future means investing today in circular solutions that effectively reduce long-term fixed costs and preserve valuable resources.
  3. How modern simulation systems enable the creation of high-level material databases, delivering a 99% accurate virtual simulation of the casting process compared to a physical trial.
This allows for a precise, fast, and waste-free transition from design to final production.

This webinar is therefore an opportunity to gain deeper insight, with technical examples and real data, into how the adoption of binder jetting technology, combined with regenerated materials and digital process tools, allows foundries to work with much shorter lead times, eliminates the need for repeated physical trials, and drastically reduces waste, positively impacting both the environment and production costs.

Don’t miss this unique chance to learn from experts who are already shaping the future of the Italian foundry industry.

The webinar is free to attend, but spots are limited.
